SafeWA is a free digital COVID-19 contact register app especially built for users living in Western Australia. Developed by the Department of Health Western Australia, the app allows venue operators and customers to register their attendance at relevant events in a secure and convenient way. Through a unique venue QR code, SafeWA supports efficient COVID-19 contact tracing by providing a digital register of contact details for individuals attending venues.
The app helps businesses and venues to maintain a contact register by collecting contact details of patrons attending their premises, thus helping them to meet their obligations under COVID-19 public health directions. It also helps customers and visitors to show validation of their vaccination status and enjoy venues across Western Australia.
January 13, 2022: New COVID-19 check-in and proof of vaccination app
Western Australia has launched a new all-in-one COVID-19 check-in and proof of vaccination app ServiceWA on January 11. ServiceWA app allows users to show proof of vaccination, check in with SafeWA and access G2G Pass for interstate travel. The new app will eventually be used to replace the existing SafeWA app.
Features:
- Register for QR code: Venue operators may register for a unique QR code or multiple codes for multi-function venues.
- Register attendance: Patrons can scan venue QR codes to register their attendance at the venue and provide personal information including name, contact telephone number, optional email, date and log-in time.
- Record attendance data: Attendance data is recorded for the purposes of contact tracing, which will be stored securely for a maximum of 28 days and then deleted.
When we visit a venue as a family, do all of us need to register our contact details ?
If you are visiting a venue as a family, all individuals aged 16 years and over in your group will need to register their contact details, however, any children in your group (under 16 years) do not need to register their details.
