June 27, 2022: Apple Music Upped the Subscription Price of Student Plan

Apple Music’s student plan is getting more expensive in the US, UK and Canada, following the upped subscription price across several countries. The subscription price for students has increased by $1 in the US and Canada, while £1 in the UK.

November 2, 2021: Apple Music available on PS5

Apple Music is launching on PS5, the first gaming console with Apple Music integration. Subscribers can access a catalog of 90 million songs, playlists from their own library, curated gaming and playlists music videos in 4K on a PS5. PS5 offers seamless integration with the Apple Music streaming service with background music and music video playback, so audio can play in the background while gaming or just play on its own. Who is eligible for Apple Music students' plans?

Students enrolled in degree-granting universities and colleges can join Apple Music at a discounted monthly rate for up to 48 months. To qualify for an Apple Music student subscription, you must be a student studying a bachelor degree, post-graduate degree, or equivalent Higher Education course at a University, College (U.S. only) or Post-Secondary School (Canada only). Junior, technical colleges, and special courses are also eligible in Japan.
