June 16, 2022: Instacart+ Service

Instacart has introduced an Instacart+ service which replaces Express while adding family sharing features. Family accounts let another member of your household participate without sharing your sign-in or subscribing on their own. Family carts make it easier for others in the home to add to the grocery list. Also, the expanded offering brings more perks for Chase cardholders. It costs the same $10 per month ($99 per year).

March 22, 2022: A Temporary Fuel Surcharge

Faced with the rising fuel prices, Instacart is also adding a temporary fuel surcharge to offset drivers’ costs. Customers will need to pay an additional 40 cents per order over the next month, with all the extra money going directly to delivery workers. Beside this, drivers can also use the existing tools of Instacart to soften the blow, including cashback perks for gas and most profitable order batches.

March 17, 2022: New ‘Shoppable Recipes’ Feature

To make every recipe on the internet “shoppable'' and to expand more ways for its retail partners to deepen their relationships with customers, Instacart has released a new “Shoppable Recipes” feature to launch new product integrations with TikTok and Hearst. This new feature will allow food creators to link shopping lists into their TikTok videos, which includes a button that adds all of the required ingredients needed for a specific recipe to a user’s Instacart cart.
