Former known as GrabTaxi, the new updated Grab app aims to offer users a safe and reliable ride in minutes. With the largest number of drivers in Southeast Asia, Grab is a handy app you can use to book service for taxis, private cars or motorbikes to pick you up and bring you to a specific location.
It is available for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry. The process of initiating this app is quite straightforward. You can choose to make your booking with cash, credit card or a mobile wallet. After the ride, you’ll also get an email receipt .
With Grab installed on your phone, you’ll find a service for different transport need including GrabTaxi, GrabCar, GrabBike, GrabExpress, GrabHitch(only available in selected countries). To initiate the app, firstly, you need to register with your phone number. Secondly, select your origin and destination. Lastly, the app will show you an estimated price; then you can use a promo code if you have one to get discounts. After the ride is confirmed, the map will show you the location of the taxis and you can track your journey.

Summary
The accuracy of the Grab map here is unreliable and misleading. Though Grab still has room for improvement, it's by far, the best option to get a convenient transport in Bangkok.
